"I created EWS in 1987 after the birth of my daughter. Her pediatrician told us to keep the bathroom door open and use any vents available so she would not breathe the chlorine that would aerate from the shower, as it would be bad for her lung development.
Upon further research, I discovered that it wasn’t just an issue of chlorine and the bad taste it produces. I found there were a whole host of other substances forming a chemical cocktail in our tap water. Chlorine, its byproducts, and other chemicals present in our water are carcinogenic or endocrine-disrupting, contributing to cancer, thyroid issues, weight gain, diabetes, and birth defects.

I had a great career in finance for major firms in New York City, but I knew this was my calling. I wanted to make a difference. I am passionate about providing the highest quality, long-lasting water filtration so we can all enjoy clean water.
I love how many things come full circle. Years after starting EWS, I discovered my grandfather owned the West End Mineral Water Company in New York City in the 1920s and 30s. Perhaps it was only natural that I would provide quality water to people two generations and nearly a century later."
